Reading is a HUGE part of becoming a Paralegal. Honestly it is a huge part of the legal profession. I did a bit of research on different books to read outside of assigned readings to help prepare myself. Below are some books I have read and plan on reading. ✨

Paralegal Career for Dummies

It a beginner guide for anyone interested in becoming a paralegal or improving their skills. It gives hands on advice for starting and even continuing your career as a paralegal. It covers the start of the paralegal career, legal skills, career development, and online companion resources.

Speak Like A Lawyer Write Like A Lawyer

I found this book on TikTok. It is a guide that teaches how to communicate clearly and confidently. It focuses on developing strong legal reasoning, word choice, and structured arguments. It is a good tool to use during and after paralegal training.

The Little Black Book of Paralegal Wisdom

This is a handbook offers essential skills and strategies such as time management, professional conduct, and organization. It also covers work strategies like scheduling, depositions, trial prep, and more. This book is next on my list to read as a Paralegal.
